 Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License Course

This is the required State of Florida certificated basic safety course, that covers firearms safety, on range qualification, individual legal responsibility and Florida law requirements.  Cost includes class, range time, ear & eye protection if needed, State CWL application pack and all class room materials. Please note: This class is for experience shooters who can demonstrate basic handgun knowledge and safety.
Course Level: Intermediate
Cost: $65 ($60 for Range Members)
Length:2 Hours
Ammunition Required: 25 rounds
Equipment Required: None. Handgun, and Eye & Ear Protection Rental are Included in the Course Fees
Prerequisites:Students must be 21 years or older and able to demonstrate competency with a handgun. If you are not an experienced shooter, please register for the Handgun Intro Class below which will also meet the requirements to apply for your permit.

 Introduction to Handgun

This 4 Hour class is designed to teach the student the basic knowledge and attitudes necessary for selecting owning and using the pistol of their choice safely and effectively. Topics covered include: Safe gun handling, weapon selection, firearm nomenclature and manipulation, ammunition options and applications, storage & maintenance, fundamentals of pistol shooting including,grip options, stance options, sighting fundamentals, trigger control. This class will qualify students to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License.
Course Level: Introductory
Cost: $150 ($135 for Range Members)

Equipment Required: None. Handgun, and Eye & Ear Protection Rental are Included in the Course Fees

 Advanced Concealed Carry 

Course Brief: So you’ve got your Concealed Carry Permit, now what? This 4 Hour class covers those very next steps that everyone planning to carry a handgun for self-defense should learn. This is not a target shooting class, it’s learning to use your firearm in a realistic way to fight for your life and specifically addresses Concealed Carry issues. This is designed for current Concealed Carry License holders who would like to hone their personal protection skills for real life situations.
Course Level: Intermediate
Cost: $150 ($135 for Range Members)
Length: 4 Hours

- Must understand how your gun functions.
- Must be able to load, unload, show clear.
- For semi-automatic handguns, must be able to pull the slide back and lock it open (back) and clear a malfunction (jam).
- Must have concealed weapons permit or provide a copy of a recent criminal background check.

 Ladies Only Advanced Concealed Carry 
Course Brief: So you’ve got your Concealed Carry Permit, now what? This 4 Hour class covers those very next steps with a focus on the Female Concealed Weapons Permit Holder. This is not a target shooting class, it’s learning to use your firearm in a realistic way to fight for your life and specifically addresses Concealed Carry issues. Topics covered include female specific options for concealed carry (holsters and handbags) such as shooting through a handbag. Ladies can learn and ask questions in a comfortable environment with their peers, minus the testosterone. This is designed for current Concealed Carry License holders who would like to hone their personal protection skills for real life situations. Check out a video of this class here!

 Advanced Defensive Handgun Level One (ADH1)
Course Brief: Shooting at the range and shooting in a life and death situation, are two completely different things. This defensive pistol course will guide you through the basics of utilizing your firearm under stress conditions. Topics covered include: stance, combative drawing, mastering trigger control, mastering recoil, stress fire, tactical target engagement and point shooting.

Course Brief: This level of defensive pistol training is specifically designed to pick up from where our ADH1 curriculum ended and continues to develop and refine the techniques to a deeper level of understanding. It will allow you to integrate more advanced techniques into your toolbox of pistol fighting systems. Topics covered include: One handed shooting and manipulation, point shooting, shooting while moving, use of cover, home defense techniques and more.

This course specifically teaching systems that cannot normally be taught in traditional square box ranges. Topics covered include: Dynamic movement, improvised shooting positions, such as shooting from on your back, in or around a car, at a table, non-dominate hand shooting etc We will teach you variety of skills that will allow you to shoot under a variety of scenarios and stress conditions.

Course Brief: This course is based on the concept that all students are now fully and unconsciously competent with their pistols. This means you can operate the pistol effectively without any actual thought process. Once you are this stage in your competency, you will be looking to “kick it up a notch”, and that’s what we do in ADH4. This class goes into gun fighting techniques a little deeper with some unconventional techniques and a focus on repetitive drills in a scenario based training environment. Topics covered include: Multiple assailant techniques, fighting from the ground, hostage scenarios, fighting your way to the pistol and more.

 Pistol Immersion Level One  
Course Brief: This 3-Day Immersion Course takes the student through Levels One and Two of our Advanced Defense Handgun curriculum in an extended format allowing for more repetition of drills while learning to shoot under stress. Through repetition, skills and abilities will be established and honed. Progression is based on a building block concept to a level where learned skills become instinctive. This class is offered 2-3 times per year. Space is limited to 12 students.

Skills and Requirements Needed Coming Into this Class:
- Must be comfortable with chosen firearm while shooting in a traditional static range environment. 
- Must be familiar with basic manipulation and use of chosen firearm 
- Must have concealed weapons permit or have completed criminal background check

Required Prerequisite Course: 

Advanced Defensive Handgun Level Two or Pistol Immersion Level One

- Your Chosen Handgun
- 1400 Rounds Ammunition (This may be purchased at the range.)
- A Standard Strong Side Carry Holster for your Chosen Handgun (*Holster Guidelines)
- Minimum of 3 Pistol Magazines (The more the better!)
- Sturdy Gun Belt and Pants with Belt Loops
- Magazine Pouches
- Full-wrap Eye and Ear Protection (May be rented from the range.)
- Knee and Elbow Pads
- Weapon Cleaning and Lubrication Equipment

Team Tactics 
This course applies to all husband / wife, security teams, or any other two-person team that may encounter a deadly force scenario together. Functioning as a cohesive team under deadly force threat is something that must be planned and practiced. Situations addressed include moving through and around buildings, dealing with a home invasion, and active shooter environments. This class focuses on equipment, communication, and tactics specifically for two-person teams.

250 rounds per student
Prerequisites: All students must be safe and competent drawing and shooting their chosen firearm. A Suggested Prerequisite Course is our Advanced Concealed Carry or Advanced Defensive Handgun Level One
Additional Equipment: Pistol, Strong Side Belt Holster, Sturdy  Gun Belt, Three Magazines (minimum), and Magazine Pouches.
