2-Day Counter-Sniper Immersion - February 28 & 29, 2012 at Okeechobee Shooting Sports
In
this 2-day course we will utilize the entire Okeechobee Shooting Sports
facility and shoot at ranges from 0 - 500 yards. Topics covered will
include sniper / spotter techniques and responsibilities, shoot /
bug-out, terminology and communications procedures, covert movement,
and counter-ambush techniques. Cost for this 2-Day Class is $400 per
2-person team / $300 per individual. Class size is limited to 10
students, so register early.
Threat Focus Combination Special Event - March 17, 2012 Volusia County Gun & Hunt Club
This All Day Special Event is a combination Hand-to-Hand and Advanced Pistol Course. The day will be split between the topics covered in our Introduction to Weapon Threats and Advanced Defensive Handgun 1. Students will be taught how to react when confronted by an assailant with a weapon, how to adapt and react to that threat, and how to break contact and get away. Then they will be guided through the basics of utilizing their firearm under stress conditions, including drawing, mastering trigger control and recoil, tactical target engagement and speed sighting. Cost for this All Day Event is $200.
Night Shoot - March 17, 2012 at Okeechobee Shooting Sports
This course will be held in complete darkness. Students
will be taught to use flash lights, ambient light, police flashing
lights etc. to identify and engage threats. This is a pistol / carbine /
shotgun course. Bring the firearm that you would expect to be using for
defense at night, whether this may be at home or on the job as law
enforcement. Topics covered include: moving and shooting from light to
dark areas, moving and shooting from dark to light areas, moving and
shooting in and around vehicles, stress-induced shooting, instinctive
shooting, "fight ready" mindset, shooting from cover and reloading
techniques including speed loads and tactical reloads in the dark. Cost for this Course is $200 per person. Click for Full Course Details.
Team Tactics Special Event - June 19, 2012 at Okeechobee Shooting Sports
This course applies to all husband /
wife, security teams, or any other two-person team that may encounter a
deadly force scenario together. Functioning as a cohesive team under
deadly force threat is something that must be planned and practiced.
Situations addressed include moving through and around buildings,
dealing with a home invasion, and active shooter environments. This
class focuses on equipment, communication, and tactics specifically for
two-person teams. This Pistol Course will require 250 rounds of
ammunition minimum per student. Cost for this Special Event is $325 per
couple / $200 per individual. Class size is limited to 12 students, so
register early.
3-Day Pistol Immersion - We had a great class in January. Keep an eye out for Future Dates
This 3-Day Immersion class takes the student through all three
levels of our Advanced Defensive Handgun Curriculum as well as added
